As one of the most recognized groups in country music today, the Zac Brown Band has released 6 studio albums, 2 live recordings, a greatest hits album, and 2 EPs. Off these, the 8-piece band has had 13 singles reach number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country or Country Airplay charts, including “Highway 20 Ride,” “Colder Weather,” “Keep Me in Mind,” and their debut single, “Chicken Fried.” With 3 Grammys under their belts, including 2010’s Best New Artist, the Zac Brown Band has amassed a reputation as one of the most quintessentially southern country bands on the radio today. They’ve brought their trademark style to collaborations with a wide range of artists, such as Kid Rock, Amos Lee, Trombone Shorty, Jason Mraz, Dave Grohl, and Avicii. Fans of all styles of country music can’t wait see the band live, and crowds flock to get their hands on tickets for concerts around the world.
Zac Brown first started playing music at the age of 8 when he began classical guitar lessons, but he soon developed a love for bluegrass. In high school, with James Taylor as his inspiration, he started playing solo gigs in small local venues and, by 19, was touring around the Southeast United States. Within a few years, he began laying the foundation for what would become the Zac Brown Band, adding a drummer and bassist. Since then, he’s brought on more guitarists, a fiddler, a percussionist, and keyboardists, as well as musician John Driskell Hopkins who can also play the banjo, ukulele, and upright bass. The group got their first taste of commercial success in 2008 with the single “Chicken Fried” off their album The Foundation. In just a decade, the band has earned incredible acclaim with both fans and critics. In 2017, they wrapped up their hugely successful Welcome Home Tour and are hitting the road yet again on Down the Rabbit Hole Live in 2018. Grab tickets to see the Zac Brown Band in cities such as Boston, Atlanta, Queens, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Charlotte, where they’ll be joined by the likes of OneRepublic, Darrell Scott, and the Mark O’Connor Band.
